AWP Panel—Of a Certain Age
Women Writers Near 60 and Beyond: Writers in their 50s, 60s, and 70s no longer retire from the stage of creativity but continue writing, teaching, and mentoring those in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. As writing is not a linear continuum, but a mosaic of intuition, urgency, and intent, it is imperative that we give voice (and agency) to writers of a certain age, near 60 and beyond. Contributors Angela-Jackson-Brown, Patricia Foster, Wendy Reed, and Jackie Trimble will discuss not only the creative concerns of writers near 60 and older but also the issues of publication and marketing. Moderated by Jay Lamar.
